Ingredients & Substitutions for Making Soup Maker Carrot Soup
Have these handy, along with all the ingredients listed in the recipe below, so you can whip up a batch of soup maker carrot soup in no time.
Seasonings Besides the aromatic blend of onion and garlic sauted in butter, the only seasonings used in this carrot soup is dill, salt, and pepper. Dill is integral to the flavor of the soup but can be a bit powerful. If you think the dill is a bit strong, you can add some onion and garlic powder to the soup before serving. They’ll counterbalance the dill beautifully.
Stock This recipe uses chicken stock because it complements carrots and dill perfectly. I don’t recommend using a vegetable broth, but you could use a vegan chicken broth if you like.
Tips for Making Soup Maker Carrot Soup
Can I make it vegan? Yes, you can! Simply substitute a plant-based oil or butter for the cow butter in the recipe. Also substitute a vegan chicken-flavored stock for the regular chicken stock.
