What Pineapple to Use

Canned pineapple chunks – I recommend pineapple chunks in juice, but you could use pineapple chunks in syrup if you like.

Fresh pineapple – you could get a container of fresh pineapple pieces in the produce section, or even cut up a whole pineapple. If you choose fresh pineapple, mash it with the back of a fork or potato masher to release most of the juice before putting it in the pint container. It needs liquid to fill in the gaps before freezing.

Frozen pineapple – you must thaw it first before putting in the Ninja CREAMi pint container. Processing loose, frozen fruit chunks can damage your machine.
