Tips for Baking the Best Tasting Sweet Potatoes in the Ninja Foodi
This is a really simple recipe, but there are a couple things you can do to ensure your baked sweet potatoes come out perfectly.
1. Lightly oil and salt the skin of the sweet potatoes. This is especially important if you are baking them in the air fryer. This prevents the skin from drying out too much and helps crisp them up a bit. If pressure cooking your sweet potatoes, you can skip this if you like.
2. Don’t skip the natural release, if you pressure cook your potatoes. They are actually still cooking during that 10 minutes. If you do a quick release instead, they probably won’t be done completely.
3. Get the sweet potatoes in the Ninja Foodi right away, then gather your favorite toppings and dishes to serve them on while the potatoes cook. This is also a great time to cook a steak, burger, or salmon filet to go with your sweet potatoes.
Now let’s get to what you came here for: two different ways to cook sweet potatoes in the Ninja Foodi. But don’t forget the suggestions for some delicious toppings below the recipes!
Two Ways to Bake Sweet Potatoes in the Ninja Foodi
If you’re still wondering what the two different ways to cook sweet potatoes in the Ninja Foodi are, here’s the answer—you can either make air fryer sweet potatoes or pressure cooker sweet potatoes.
To me, there’s really only one difference between the two methods. Air frying sweet potatoes makes the skin crispier and the potato seems to be a little bit drier. Pressure cooking sweet potatoes, on the other hand, results in moister potatoes with soft skins.
My recommendation? Try them both and you choose which you like best.

- Low carb sweetener
Sweet potatoes are also delicious with savory toppings, as well. Try some of these:
