What is Dole Whip made of?
The pineapple Dole Whip found at Disney theme parks is made from flavoring mixes and stabilizers that create a mixture that can be dispensed through soft-serve machines. But we can recreate the flavor with simple ingredients from the grocery store and a Ninja CREAMi machine. And you need only three ingredients: vanilla ice cream, pineapple chunks, and pineapple juice.

Ingredients & Swaps
Have these handy, along with all the ingredients listed in the recipe below, so you can whip up a batch of Dole Whip in the Ninja CREAMi in no time.
- Vanilla Ice Cream – I used my recipe for Ninja CREAMi Vanilla Ice Cream, but you could use store-bought vanilla ice cream also.
- Pineapple Chunks or Tidbits – any brand will work, either canned or frozen. If canned, get chunks that are packed in juice instead of syrup, so there isn’t any added sugar. And bonus, you can use the juice in the recipe instead of buying a can of pineapple juice!
- Pineapple Juice – can be hard to find. If you can’t find it, use pineapple chunks that are canned in pineapple juice and just measure out two ounces to use in this recipe.
Note: If you can’t find pineapple chunks or tidbits, don’t substitute crushed pineapple. It has too much juice in it and will make your Dole Whip very soft.
